Water of the Gods

Norris Hot Springs in Norris, Montana is a great place to soak and relax at the end of a long day. A few weeks ago I went there without kids, but I think it’d be a great place to take kids as long as you hit it earlier in the day…That is to say, before the college kids get there and start drinking like little fishies!
Their website, norrishotsprings.com, gives a lot of great information on where they are located and places to camp and lodge nearby. My favorite part of is was that there was a great variety of people there and the food is reasonably priced. It’s near Bozeman, Montana, which of course has a lot of entertainment as well. Bozeman is the home of The Museum of the Rockies (which I mentioned in a previous post HERE), Montana State University, and the ever popular Bridger Bowl, for those who LOVE to ski.
Norris is very rustic. Don’t expect a flushing toilet (port-a-potties are on site, however) or real doors on the dressing rooms. No locking lockers either. They do have a sign up warning you that thieving from others brings on bad Karma, however.
Pack up the kids and take a trip to Norris, folks. At $5 a head, the price can’t be beat! Oh, more advice: Call ahead (406-685-3303) to see if they will have live Bluegrass music on the day you want to go. It’s the best!
Happy travels!
