Best family event: Northwest Banana Slug Festival in July.
Family Vacations Tip: Going to snow in Mount Rainier National Park.

Banana Slug Festival? I am intrigued at the thought so tried to research it some more. The best I could get was that there are races and such with the little slimey darlings. If anyone knows more about it, I’d sure like to know because my kids would simply go NUTS over attending such a charming activity this summer! Come one, someone out there has to have attended!

Washington State has been the site of many adventures for my children and I intend to revisit the places we’ve been (or that they have been with my parents) regularly. And, I hope to get a real-life testimonial of that Festival! So keep reading!
