Post-Holiday Fare Sales - United

United Airlines opened the floodgates to a torrent of post-holiday deals, with its major legacy competitors rushing to offer rate breaks. The deals can be decidedly decent. Example: United’s post-holiday discount airfares start at $50.
Over the next few days, Cheapflights will chronicle who’s offering what, where. For right now, let’s focus on United Airlines’ initiative. To land one of its discount airfares you’ll have to book and buy no later than January 9, 2007, then complete domestic or Canadian travel by March 7; international travel by March 31.
As for other restrictions, domestic discount airfares entail a two-night minimum stay; international discount airfares to Europe and the Middle East require a Saturday-night stay. Pacific sojourns at these rates entail a six-day stay, and Latin or Caribbean trips three days.
