Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Monday, February 5th, 2007

When I lived in North Carolina, a favorite place to visit and play was Myrtle Beach.

Some fun and exciting things to do there include:

America’s Best Family Beach
Naturally, the fun always starts at the beach - our top attraction. The Myrtle Beach area showcases 60 miles of soft, wide beaches, providing ample opportunities for fun: swimming, surfing, parasailing, shell collecting, sunbathing, Frisbee-throwing, sandcastle building, and volleyball.

Myrtle Beach Amusements & Attractions
Amazingly, Myrtle Beach offers just as much fun off the beach as it does on the beach. With hundreds of attractions, both indoors and outdoors, Myrtle Beach offers affordable fun for all ages to enjoy.

Myrtle Beach Theaters / Nightlife
The Myrtle Beach area has emerged as a hot spot for live family entertainment - offering the best in music, dance, comedy, dinner shows, and celebrity concerts. Enjoy a live performance by top entertainers, dine at one of our fun-filled dinner shows or dance the night away at an endless array of nightclubs.

Myrtle Beach Shopping
This is something the whole family can do together. Choose from a variety of malls, outlets, boutiques, bargain warehouses, and specialty shops.

Myrtle Beach Dining
A Myrtle Beach dining experience offers unlimited choices, with more than 1,800 full-service restaurants waiting to serve you. The area is famous for fabulous fresh seafood, and we serve it up every way under the sun. And no matter what you order, you’re guaranteed to get a huge side order of Southern hospitality, served any way you like!

Myrtle Beach Watersports and Myrtle Beach Fishing
Whether you prefer boating, fishing, surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, parasailing, or windsurfing, you’ll find them all here in the Myrtle Beach area! Take a deep sea fishing adventure, cast your line from any of our eight piers, or fish the backwaters and creeks of South Carolina’s coast, from Little River to Pawley’s Island.

Myrtle Beach Sports
The Myrtle Beach area has long been called “seaside golf capital of the world,” and for good reason, with more than 100 professional golf courses. Enjoy professional racing on a NASCAR-sanctioned track, play a game of tennis at over 200 local courts or catch minor league baseball at its best.

Happy Travels!!

Warm Me Up!

caribbean-beach.jpg

I have been obsessing aobut visiting somewhere warm and tropical with white sandy beaches where you can stay mostly naked all day long and still remain just as toasty as can be. I’m so cold!

While looking for such a vacation (hey…I can make big plans for spring break even if they never come to pass!) I came across this information:

Warm up in the Caribbean: Air + 4 nights from $503

Take a sunny sojourn to the Caribbean and leave stress and winter behind. Imagine turquoise seas, white beaches, and the irresistible rhythm of island living. Each isle has a unique personality created by lush and beautiful landscapes, and native culture seasoned with French, Dutch, English, or American heritage. Up for action? Try snorkeling—or simply unwind in the sun or the shade of a palm tree.

Book by February 19, 2007 for travel through March 31, 2007.

Be sure to click on their site HERE to find specific destinations and prices! I’m SO THERE!
